Apgar Bike Path

Apgar Bike Path – 3.3mi / 5.3km

Apgar Bike Path

This paved out and back trail is accommodating for everyone, including those with strollers or wheelchairs, which gives everyone an opportunity to get immersed in the beauty of the woods. The entire walk is in the trees with the exception of a small fifty yard spur trail that overlooks a wide bend in McDonald Creek called the Oxbow.

The trail ends in the headquarters area of the park on Mather Drive. If you wish to make the route a bit longer, you can follow the road to the river and walk along it to the Belton Bridge (See Belton Bridge for the description).

Trailhead: Located directly across from the old school as soon as you enter Apgar Village or by the parking lot south of Eddie’s Restaurant.

Elevation Gain/Loss: 0ft / 0m
