Waterfalls

Medicine Grizzly Lake is a lake in the Cut Bank area of the Park that is surrounded by cliffs and waterfalls. At the trailhead, you will be greeted by wildflowers and a backdrop of rocky peaks. The trail enters the forest and follows the North Fork Cut Bank Creek, giving you frequent views into the creek. After approximately four miles, the forest begins opening up, giving you views of drainages and of the many peaks surrounding the Cut Bank area.

Just before the lake, there is an incredible meadow that is worth just stopping in and admiring. The lake itself is great, and the huge cliffs with waterfalls right in front of you will take your breath away. Continue on the length of the lake for 0.5 miles to the head of the lake where you can have lunch on a sandbar by the waterfalls.

If you have the energy, Atlantic Falls is a pretty little waterfall located 0.2 miles up the trail heading towards Pitamakan Pass on the way back.

Trailhead: Follow Cut Bank Road all the way to the end of the road for the only trailhead.

Elevation Gain/Loss: 700ft / 210m
