Two Medicine Lake – 7.5mi / 12.1km

Two Medicine Lake

This loop offers a great lake walk with numerous options for spur trails. Starting out on the north shore, the trees are relatively sparse, giving you views across Two Medicine Lake and up avalanche chutes.

At a little over three miles past the head of the lake, you will meet up with spur trails to Dawson Pass, Twin Falls, and Upper Two Medicine Lake. Staying to the left, the trail loops past the dock for boat tours and goes up and over the ridge coming off of Sinopah Mountain. Once over the ridge, you’ll take a left on the south shore trail. (Rockwell Falls is less than a mile up the trail to the right.)

The trail is 3.4 miles back to Two Medicine, but spur trails to Aster Falls and Paradise Point also make for nice side trails. (Trail distance listed doesn’t include any of the spur trails.)

Trailhead: Starting at the campground at Two Medicine by Pray Lake, cross the bridge for the Oldman Lake Trail and take a left towards Dawson Pass.

Elevation Gain/Loss: 500ft / 150m
