Murie Ranch Trail

Murie Ranch Trail – 1.1mi / 1.8km

This level, out-and-back walk takes you through a quiet forest interspersed with meadows. The trail connects the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center to the Murie Ranch.

The Muries were extremely influential in many conservation causes, including the passing of the Wilderness Act of 1964. At the ranch, you can see their old cabins and read about their importance to the conservation movement.

Trailhead: Park at the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center and access the trail just south of the entrance.
