Low Divide

Low Divide – 10.5mi / 16.9km

Climb up past the quaint Mink Lake through heather meadows to a ridgeline with views into the Bogachiel River drainage. The trail switchbacks up through a beautiful forest to the quiet Mink Lake which is a great place to take a break before continuing on (see Mink Lake for description).

The trail climbs up from the lake to Low Divide, switchbacking as it gets to the ridgeline. Along the way, you pass meadows full of flowers. Surrounding wooded ridges pop into view when you break from the trees. Once on the divide, take a right and follow the trail through the wooded ridge until you break out of the trees affording views looking south to Mt. Olympus.

Trailhead: Just east of Lake Crescent, turn onto the Sol Duc Hot Springs Road from Hwy 101. Turn into the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort. The trail begins at the northwest corner near the cabins.
