Maple Glade Trail

Maple Glade Trail – 0.4mi / 0.7km

Moss, ferns, and large trees abound in this short, family-friendly, interpretive loop. A bridged crossing over Kestner Creek brings you to the accessible loop.

Take the loop counter-clockwise to follow the numbered posts in order (pick up an interpretive brochure at the visitor center in Port Angeles). The gravel loop wanders past sword ferns carpeting the ground and maples draped with moss. This lush walk has a great variety of flora.

It joins up with the larger loop to the Kestner Homestead which is a great addition to the loop (see Kestner Homestead Trail for description).

Trailhead: Turn onto the North Shore Road from Hwy 101 just west of Amanda Park near Lake Quinault. After traveling 5.7 miles, turn left onto the signed road for the ranger station. The trailhead is at the west end of the parking lot.
