Olympic Hot Springs

Olympic Hot Springs – 5.5mi / 8.9km

Bring a towel and soak in one of the many pools in this hot springs area. Cars used to drive up the road to the campground next to the hot springs. Now you walk up the gravel road that is for foot traffic only.

The forest is lovely and the grade is easy as you cross over a few creeks. Remnants of an old bridge at the big washout that is Crystal Creek let you know youโ€™re almost there. After the creek, hike up to the junction and follow the signs to the left.

Take the bridge over Boulder Creek and begin looking around for telltale multi-colored algae signaling a hot spring (note: all of the pools are unmaintained and untested). For a longer day, hike up to Boulder Lake (see Boulder Lake for description).

Trailhead: Turn onto the Olympic Hot Springs Road from Hwy 101, 9 miles west of Port Angeles. Follow the road 10 miles to trailhead at the end.
