Mount Starr King View

Mount Starr King View – 3.8mi / 6.2km

Hike to a vantage of granite domes dominated by Mount Starr King. The trail starts in a lovely forest and steeply drops to Mono Meadow. The trail travels through a collection of wet meadows separated by stands of trees. Mud and flowers persist throughout the summer.

The trail climbs out of the meadow through a mix of shrubs and forest with views of Illilouette Ridge behind you. At the top of the climb, step out to the flat granite area just off trail for a sweeping panorama from Half Dome to Starr King, before returning to the trailhead.

Trailhead: Look for the small, signed parking lot for Mono Meadow along the Glacier Point Road.
