A HIKE-ABILITY client recently emailed me asking: …any thoughts about nutrition as I go on this journey? I eat fairly healthy, but I want to make sure that I am taking care of nutritional needs and not over (or under) doing in one area or the other. I also want to make sure that I’m taking a good mix and balance of foods when I hike or when I work out. Fantastic question, and I’m so glad that you desire to take nutrition into account as part of your fitness journey!
Food is more than just calories, and learning about nutrition isn’t just for weight loss. Nutrition plays such an important role in how our bodies feel and function. Not only do our food choices contribute to our overall health, but they also affect our physical performance during activities (like hiking or working out) and our ability to recover. Wander over to my fitness blog to read my latest article. You'll find helpful nutritional guidelines, and learn what to eat before, during, and after exercise.
The trail awaits... let's get ready for it!
Kristen P.S. Don't forget that my HIKE-ABILITY Training Program is currently on *SALE* -- because I want you to start the New Year with all the tools you'll need to achieve your hiking goals in 2024!
