If you've been around the blog for any time, you're used to hearing, "What's up, this is Jake with Hike 734" and then getting a tour of whatever trail I've been hiking on. Right behind me in the videos, my wife (and favorite hiking partner) gives a quick wave as we dive into the vantages, birds, and flowers of the day.
Many of you have asked to hear more from her, and today, we're releasing a quick video where she's in front and I'm giving a quick wave in the background!
While she's been vital behind the scenes of Hike 734 over the years, fitness has always been her jam. This past year, she's doubled down and deep-dove into fitness and is putting some great content on the site so that you can have a better hiking experience! She's posted a bunch of great blogs including info on strength training and post-workout soreness. She's also created a structured training program that's not some quick fix or "top 10" lists, but an honest approach to fitness allowing you to hike farther and climb higher, all with less discomfort. It also seeks to educate you not only on what to do, but the why, so you understand the purpose of each exercise.
I'm super proud of the work that she's done and it's already helping folks who have enrolled in the program.
