If you been around my blog or subscribed to my email newsletter for anytime now, you know that Iām a HUGE proponent of training and preparing for all hiking adventures.
Utilizing the "Goldilocks Concept" I want to bring awareness to the pitfalls of under- and over-training, and encourage you to find an optimal amount of training that will safely and effectively support YOUR hiking and fitness related goals... Ahh, just right! The āGoldilocks Conceptā rejects extremes in favor of a just right middle-ground. Under-training or over-training can prevent you from safely and successfully reaching your hiking/fitness goals. Consequences of under-training: - Decreased ability & confidence
- Decreased level of enjoyment & comfort on the trail
- Increased risk for injury
Consequences of over-training: - Performance can be negatively affected
- "Burnoutā halts training or hiking plans
- Increased risk for exercise-related injuries
Knowing your goals, making a plan, and applying proven techniques and principles will help you formulate a training schedule that is just right for you. Visit the blog to learn more about an important training principle, PLUS how to apply it correctly. Adventure awaits... be ready for it!

P.S. Enrollment is still open for the HIKE-ABILITY Training Program. I'll help you create and execute your "Goldilocks" training schedule and make this year your best hiking year yet!
