Cascading Terraces Trail

Cascading Terraces Trail – 1mi / 1.7km

Cascade Terraces Trail loops through the gorgeous rain forest along the Quinault River, but is difficult to follow due to bank erosion destroying sections of the trail.

The trail starts out in the Graves Creek campground and weaves through moss-draped maples and red alder. Stay straight at the junction and follow the trail down to a lovely meadow next to the Quinault River. Bank erosion has destroyed the official trail here, but you can still explore along the river.

To get back on the trail, return to the meadow and head south, keeping an eye to your left for the trail to reappear and follow it back to the campground.

Trailhead: From Hwy 101, turn onto South Shore Road just south of Lake Quinault. Follow the road for 13 miles as it becomes Graves Creek Road. Follow that rough, gravel road for another 5.8 miles to the trailhead at the end of the road.

Elevation Gain: 50ft / 15m – Elevation Loss: 50ft / 15m
