Sol Duc Falls

Sol Duc Falls – 1.7mi / 2.8km

The Sol Duc River turns and dramatically drops into a narrow canyon as three gorgeous strands. This short, popular hike travels gently up and down on a wide path through the mossy cathedral of massive trees. Stay right at the fork with the historic shelter cabin.

The trail drops down to a bridge over the deep gorge with a great view of the falls. Multiple vantages await on the other side. For a bonus, continue past Sol Duc Falls 0.4mi/0.6km, staying right past the next junction, to Canyon Creek where another waterfall awaits.

Trailhead: Just east of Lake Crescent, turn onto the Sol Duc Hot Springs Road from Hwy 101. Follow the road to the trailhead at the end.

Elevation Gain: 150ft / 45m – Elevation Loss: 150ft / 45m
