Three Forks

Three Forks – 9.9mi / 15.9km

This steep trail drops from the sprawling views of Deer Park to the beautiful cascades at the valley bottom. The trail begins with open meadows and stunning views of massive, wooded ridges.

It quickly starts dropping, first through a burn area before transitioning to dense, moss-covered forests with an incredible array of fauna. After descending a steep 3,200ft/960m, the trail reaches a hiker’s shelter, then Grand Creek, followed by Cameron Creek and finally Gray Wolf River.

All three forks have log bridges over stunning cascades. From Gray Wolf River, turn around to begin your strenuous ascent back up.

Trailhead: Head south on Deer Park Road (located 5 miles east of Port Angeles) for 18 miles to the campground. The trail begins near the campground.

Elevation Gain: 3,300ft / 990m – Elevation Loss: 3,300ft / 990m
