Glacier Point

Glacier Point – 0.6mi / 0.9km

This classic stop at the end of the Glacier Point Road offers an unparalleled vantage and wonderful photo opportunities via a short, paved path. This very busy, paved trail leaves the trees of the parking lot into sprawling vistas.

Follow the trail to the right to see Nevada Fall backdropped by Mt. Clark and other peaks of the Clark Range. As you work your way out to the point, numerous interpretive signs line the way. The point itself is perched on the edge of cliffs looking thousands of feet down into Yosemite Valley and a view up Tenaya Canyon with an iconic side view of Half Dome.

Trailhead: Follow the Glacier Point Road to parking at the end of the road.

Elevation Gain: 50ft / 15m – Elevation Loss: 50ft / 15m
