Happy New Year 2014!

Went for a walk to the river by my house with my wife as the sun rose on a new year. The air was crisp and the reflections were sharp as a multitude of winter birds were waking up. For them, it’s just another cold morning with a blue sky. It’s all about finding food, staying warm and not getting eaten.
For most of us humans, it’s a time of reflection and looking forward. I’m thankful for the past year’s accomplishments such as completing and distributing my driving guide and for getting our new house. I’m a bit disappointed about how little I hiked and, subsequently, blogged about Glacier National Park.
This next year, I’m hoping to change the “getting out” part. I have a new guide or two in the works that I really hope helps people plan their getaways into Glacier. This little life of adventure that I have is exciting, hopeful, overwhelming, and scary, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Thanks for following along for these last couple of years. Here’s to a wonderful 2014!
