Ouzel Falls

Ouzel Falls – 5.4mi / 8.7km

Ouzel Falls powerfully drops onto boulders where it turns and cascades into the valley below. After 0.3mi/0.5mi along the level, forested trail, take the side trail to Copeland Falls where North Saint Vrain Creek drops into a couple of mesmerizing pools.

Continue up along the playful creek and cross over at an unnamed cascade. A brief climb takes you to another bridge over the Calypso Cascade, your second waterfall of the day. The trail traverses the hillside before climbing up to Ouzel Falls.

Before crossing the bridge, follow the trail up to the base of the falls where it shoots out from the ledge above and drops 40ft/12m.

Trailhead: From Colorado Hwy 7, just north of Allenspark, turn onto Wild Basin Road. The Wild Basin Ranger Station and trailhead is 2.2mi/3.5km past the entrance station.

Elevation Gain: 1,050ft / 315m – Elevation Loss: 1,050ft / 315m
