Lookout Point

Lookout Point – 2.8mi / 4.5km

This short hike from the entrance station of the Hetch Hetchy area takes you to a wonderful vantage of the area that includes the west end of the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir.

Staying left at each junction takes you from the forest, to the open shrubby landscapes, to the panoramic, granite perch. The point offers excellent views of the surrounding hillside and a glimpse of the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir and Wapama Falls.

Trailhead: Park near the Hetch Hetchy Entrance. The trailhead is located just east of the entrance on the south side of the road.
