Alpine Glow in 2014

While I’m a huge fan of the long days in the middle of the summer, the shorter days of winter give us late sunrises and early sunsets. This makes it much easier to view both the sun coming up and going down. Couple that with the white canvas of snowcapped mountains and you have the gorgeous “purple mountains majesty” of song.
Kristen and I ran up to Glacier National Park on a clear day to try and spy the alpine glow on the mountains surrounding Lake McDonald and just caught it before darkness fell. Hope you enjoy the photos from that chilly trip!
