At the end of April, decided to check out Apgar Lookout. The road to the trailhead was surprisingly open and the trail snow free for the first 2/3 of the trip. Loads of birds, sunshine and views!
Special Note: If you decide to hike to Apgar this early, make sure you have snowshoes and/or crampons and something like an ice axe. A few of the snow fields were very steep angle and could get you in trouble.
